Hot take: there is no reason to watch college or professional sports live, unless it's in a social gathering where there are other benefits

What is the point in watching a bunch of unexciting/pointless pointless plays, timeouts, fouls, and commercials when instead you could take those 4 hours and do something else and then spend 15 minutes the next day watching the highlights. This goes for all sports not just football

 Totally agree. It would be a way better gathering also if you just taped it and cut out the ads. No interruptions would make for a superior experience. But for some weird reason people are glued to seeing it live. So dumb.  

 Being at a gathering and having it live has all the emotions which I totally get a love. Can't recreate perfectly when it's taped. You can also chat and hang during halftimes and commercials and stuff. But glad I'm not the only one with this somewhat spicy take lol
