"...the website loads in a special browser built into the app, rather than your phone’s default browser. In 2022, privacy researcher Felix Krause found that Meta injects special “keylogging” JavaScript onto the website you’re visiting that allows the company to monitor everything you type and tap on, including passwords. “We don’t use that very valuable tool that we built”

Sure you don’t guys… sure
Ah yes! Found it my bookmarks: https://krausefx.com/blog/announcing-inappbrowsercom-see-what-javascript-commands-get-executed-in-an-in-app-browser
So don’t use default OS Browers?

Don't use in-app browsers. Always open external links from apps in your default (more privacy friendly) browsers. I use Brave.
 Thanks.
Exact opposite. The problem is when you use an app’s in-app browser. This is because the app has full control of their own browser. If you use your phone’s default browser, the app has no control over it.
Yeah I was wrong earlier but tbh who actually uses in app browsers
Wonder if this is also part of info that could be given to government agencies on demand. Also a hacker's goldmine
No charges cause our government loves it
All this information is absolutely going directly to the government.
