ROUND 2, MATCH 4 PRE-GAME ANALYSIS

4th Seed Alice (Monster Girl Quest) VS 13th Seed Shanoa (Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia)

These two girls reached round 2 on the basis of very different performances, with Alice, despite her being a top seed, failing to blow out one of the supposedly weakest contestants, while Shanoa managed to overcome perhaps the ultimate video game Waifu after a stunning comeback. Alice might also rightly be alarmed by just how badly her fellow Monster Quest Girl Tamamo is currently getting her cheeks clapped by Reimu. Then again, Momiji showing herself to be something of a beast confirms that the Genshin Impact girls were actually pretty decent all along, making Alice’s win over Ganyu look somewhat better in retrospect.

This match is pretty hard to call, both girls are probably upper mid-tier in terms of contest strength, and whoever reaches round 3 can consider herself quite lucky in terms of her bracket (I’m reasonably sure someone like Remilia would have easily beat both of them). It’s worth noting that Shanoa’s biggest supporter against Tifa has Alice as his One True Waifu, and that could potentially prove decisive, unless one of these girls turn out to be considerably stronger than her first match indicated (Reimu is certainly performing WAY better in round 2 than in round 1).
