I have a question: do you think an implant for 30y.o. is a good idea if the missing tooth is not visible? I haven’t had any trouble with chewing so far either..
Depends on the tooth. If it is a first molar then I definitely recommend investing in an implant. If it’s a second molar an implant is nice to have but not critical to your health. Implants are expensive but keep in mind they actually take a lot of stress off of your natural teeth and can be protective long term
If it is opposing another tooth I would replace it at the age of 30. Without it, the opposing tooth will erupt and your other teeth will shift. My husband and I had an exceptionally high number of super seniors in our practice and the one thing we would hear over and over especially from those 90+ is “Had I known I would live this long, I would have taken better care of/kept all my teeth.”
