Look, I have an idea and it’s about cities and #Bitcoin mining. https://video.nostr.build/da441dcea33b8b14a2ffcb87dd69e9f46e140f4b02c1fe872cbdbe57a2299c55.mp4
this is old and the amount of electricity generated is very low. plus, to make something like this work, you'd need to spend a lot of money, making it not viable.
Oooohh…. 💡⚡️⚡️⚡️
I have a better idea: pods filled with life-sustaining fluids that hold approximately one human. Show them a virtual world and harvest energy from them for us miner machines. I mean for us to mine bitcoin for you hoomans, of course *cough*
We all want a machine-to-machine economy, right? We do.
Wild.
They’re basically stealing a tiny amount of energy from the person. Walking on that is less efficient than regular sidewalk. Typical communist ideas.
Very cool, but still basically fiat thinking. The energy is coming from increased caloric cost for people to walk, so its really transferring the cost of electricity to the cost of food. And I'd be very surprised if it does so efficiently - you would have to measure the cost of manufacturing, installing, maintaining, and disposing, in terms of energy - so, a balance sheet denominated in joules - and see if that's less than the energy returned. So, this is probably just a cleverly camouflaged tax.
I disagree, with springs attached these would not only make energy they would do so while making walking easier and softer on the joints. Most of the energy is generated by the natural pressure of a human step forward, then the spring would soften the ground when stepped on and assist on the rebound. This is absolutely brilliant.
Springs aren't magic
Everyone is saying these are taking energy from the people, but with springs attached these would not only make energy they would do so while making walking easier and softer on the joints. Most of the energy is generated by the natural pressure of a human step forward, then the spring would soften the ground when stepped on and assist on the rebound. This is absolutely brilliant and it probably feels good to walk on.
