What are some good ways to purchase Bitcoin without any of that KYC bullshit? Maybe a private transaction exchange coin for fiat in the form of Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal?
Solomining with @oceanmining
Is that cloud mining operation?
It's nostr:nprofile1qqsq9k04vahllseell55m74n3047y88pzlr0z5yany32st29fapqmgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghxy6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctc87ckyu. You need to buy equipment. Better to buy the BTC unless you have access to very cheap energy
Yeah, I'm not really interested in mining. I'm just trying to get like 100-150k sats for my monthly purchase. Last month I bought from Onramper, but when I tried to buy again a little while ago the transaction failed, and no reason was given. I emailed their support, so maybe I'll get it worked out, but I'm not counting on it. Hence my search for private transaction.
Robosats, bisq, hodlhodl
I just started with Robosats. I've currently got a locked contract and am just waiting for the seller to do his part. But I'm a little nervous about it. Payment is using some wire service called Wise that I've never used before. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly, but I've got the first-time jitters. What's bisq and hodlhodl?
I use Wise often. It's fast and reliable 👍
Oh really? Is KYC verification required to use it? Or is the fact that you're linking your bank account sufficient confirmation of identity?
It's all fiat, so yes KYC is required
How do they do it? Do you just enter your personal information and they check it? Or do they require scanning your ID?
Yeah it's automated scanning of a residence doc
Bisq is the most decentralized on-ramp and off-ramp exchange there is.
Cash in the mail with Bisq is the most private. With CashApp and RoboSats you can share only your display name with the other party, but obviously you've already done KYC with CashApp and that info is available if the seller turns out to be an operative or CashApp gets subpoena'd.
Do you happen to know if Robosats supports Transferwise?
I'm not sure. From what I can tell, each seller defines which payment methods they accept. On Robosats, most of them use Wise.
TransferWise was renamed to Wise
Oh they do? I guess the whole platform is called Wise now. Thanks.

I don't really care about my identity being linked to the transaction. My current issue with KYC is that my ID is expired and so the stupid automatic ID scans that everyone uses doesn't go through. I'm probably not going to be able to renew my ID for another month or two, so I'm just looking for a way to purchase in the meantime.
#mostro mostro.network is coming on Nostr. yet working for small amounts on mainnet ( less than 20k sats )
Bisq2 and Bisq1 are different applications, the latter is only using the new Bisq Easy trading protocol for now, and is aimed at nocoiners. If you like the multisig protocol, as everyone does, you can keep using Bisq1, and wait until that will be ported to Bisq2 in its musig taproot version with less onchain costs and improved privacy.
