 Hi, I’m new here! 

Is this the right Nostr place - decentralized social media app? Asking because I couldn’t find an actual Nostr app. 

Secondly, this looks exactly like Twitter/X. What’s new or different besides decentralization?

 Welcome if you need help setting up a lightning address feel free to reach out. Nostr is just a better place to build. Yes it doesn't have the network effect yet but you can't get rugged by a third party.  You are control of your social network circl and with your Nsec you can move from app to app and have the same following.  The potential here is endless. Enjoy the ride.

 Nostr is a protocol not a platform like Twitter, IG and the like.

The app you are using is a client. You can continue using nostr with another client but using the same credentials (npub - your public key, nsec - your private 🔑).

 Nostr is a protocol that apps are built on top of. Primal and Damus are Twitter/X “adjacent” apps. There will be many apps in the future that do different things and look a certain way.
