@673e48e3 @214fcd33 I'd have actually taken the first on this train too, but decided against it because it's the stupid ČD half diner/half first and the first is always placed between the food and the rest of the train, so you are paying extra for sitting in a busy corridor, thank you very much

The TGV always makes sure to put the cafe between first and second, to prevent that from happening. The ICE... I think sticks first at one end of the train, so it goes first-second-cafe-second, same as Amtrak.
