 @GrapheneOS

#graphene

Any users know if I’ll be able to get Graphene installed on my pixel 7 ?

It has no SIM card tray so I’ve been given it for free.

Thanks in advance.

You might be able to add e sim from @LNeSIM
Ah yes, I’ve seen this before,

I think it still has a google account on it

Need to read the instructions.

Thank you for your comment.
Installing shouldn’t be a problem at all. Then for using the phone just Wifi only or use eSIM.
Thank you very much for you response.

Been waiting to do this for a while now.
Found out the bootloader is locked.

Back to the drawing board.
 You did this step?

So the problem I’ve got is, that there is currently the factory reset protection enabled and without the google account I cannot get passed this bit.
 Welcome, Comrade.

For best results make sure you turn off sensors in all sandboxes, get f-droid, get Netguard, Aurora Store, and ClassyShark3xodios.
Will check them all out! Thanks for the tips
 Bootloader locked.

Rip. Was free so I can’t complain.

Also had FRP (not sure if you can get round this bit, but I couldn’t figure it out)
Ye, installation doesn’t depend on it at all.
 Perfect, thanks
U can only do it if the bootloader is unlocked. if it is not unlocked then you cannot install. I had this issue before. No, there is no way to unlock it that anyone figured out
 Thanks for the heads up.
 I’m on the bootloader….

Locked.

Damn
Bruh why do you even need graphene os
And mine bricked on me after a while
 Why do we do anything?

I want to challenge myself and at the same time have more secure private OS
Normal people do things because they need to

The reason I switched to graphene os was 3 reasons
1. Unlimited hotspot speed (no there is no other way to get it that I know of without paying)
2. Deeper red on night mode

if you are using their binary, then that is an untrusted binary and you have no guarantee it is made from the published source code. it is probably a honey pot because anyone using that OS is probably some kind of bitcoiner or libertarian
I would be both a bitcoiner and a libertarian
What I meant I had the issue with on my pixel 4a was not the boot loader but OEM locked

“Next, go to Settings > System > Developer options and toggle on the OEM unlocking setting. On device model variants (SKUs) which support being sold as locked devices by carriers, enabling OEM unlocking requires internet access so that the stock OS can check if the device was sold as locked by a carrier.” Most of those 4a phones were sold as locked by carrier.
