Twitter should have an option to sunset your account without deleting it. Something that preserves all your previous tweets and interactions, but doesn't let anyone follow you and marks the account as deactivated
I like the nukening more because it destroys the experience of other Twitter users.

i just changed my display name to a common expression in serbian because for some reason Dan is flavor of the minute i deleted my first nostr key but then over a 2 week period eventually vanity mined one with my new username at the end of it... check the profile you'll see... the username "mleku" is a spin on the serbian word "mleka" млека which is the word for milk, using the "at" case used to designate location
