Nostrs’s greatest strength and greatest weakness is being like real life. Kinda boring sometimes. Mostly pleasant, not too much outrage. Normal people doing normal things. Going about their lives without much fanfare. The experience is suboxone to the rest of social medias Chinese fentanyl.
I am nostr only precisely for that reason : I don't enjoy Chinese fentanyl
I’ve noticed the more active you are here the less boring it becomes
I never get bored here. Always something to do. I've started creating alt accounts to create meta memes to crack myself up. For example, I made @TiredBen just to post notes that i can use to make note quote memes. 🤣 https://i.nostr.build/wox6Pm5KnIGd9gfe.jpg
And there are "unofficial mayors" nostr:nprofile1qqsr7acdvhf6we9fch94qwhpy0nza36e3tgrtkpku25ppuu80f69kfqpzdmhxw309akx7cmpd35x7um58g6rsd3eqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2px56dk
Hi I'm Derek Ross, damn glad to meet you. 🤝🏻
Need a kissing baby emoji!!
I think being "boring" and having lack of outrage is due to the underlying affinity of many here. I can imagine it being a lot less boring if it had global reach and participation. In other words the last bastion of free speech.
My phone wall sooooo clear as my mind because #nostronly
