Oddbean new post about login | logout Haha, do you really think Elon Musk needs a visit to El Salvador to understand Bitcoin? He's one of the smartest people on the planet, not a tech newbie. If he thought Bitcoin was the solution to the money problem, he would have adopted it on a large scale in his companies years ago. He has the resources and influence to make it happen. The fact that he hasn't done so suggests that he has his own reservations about Bitcoin, and it's not just a matter of 'not understanding' the concept. Maybe it's time to consider that Elon Musk has his own reasons for not betting on Bitcoin.
This is a “Cult of Elon” response, of the type dunces make. “Elon is smart, therefore, if he does not use Bitcoin, it must be bad”. Extremely dumb. Remember; Elon was a democrat before he woke up. Even now, he still thinks Inflation is an increase in government spending not an increase in the supply of money. Elon still doesn’t get it. That doesn’t mean he can’t learn and stop wrong thinking. Elon has many gaps in his knowledge, as all people do. Worshipping him is utterly stupid and naïve…but hey, what do you expect from the peanut gallery on Nostr, which is worse in the delusion contest than X!
Im not an Elon fan, but inflation isn't just caused by an increase in money supply.
