hah, i can proudly say i've built Go a few times, but it's really not worth the time or power cost (takes about 30 minutes) ah yeah... haha, compiling GCC and/or clang that's gonna be several hours waiting
GCC around 1 and half hour on old core 2 duo, clang/llvm takes much much more, I dont know exactly why. Agree, its mostly a waste of time and resources doing it everytime, I'm still to lazy to move my setup and cant find a distro/os that satisfies me after experienced all that freedom
i can relate... when gentoo arrived i was all over it... and i love AUR also, but really, wen verifiable repeatable attested binaries allreddy???

for the most part, most projects can be trusted 99.99999% of the time, but why are we still seeing people writing software in languages that take 100x longer to compile code than they need to?

oh yes... expressivity
