Have you thought about attending local meetups and events? I have been driving 3-5 hours to attend meetups. Building your local community is extremely beneficial.

 Hmm. I haven't really advertised in a long, long while. Probably the better part of a year? I should do that again soon. I don't like to do it too often and sound like a shill, but I think it's time for a bump. I don't really like overly promoting my own stuff. I like to brag about what cool things others are building.
