Ahhh. Home for the rest of the day. It's vexing when real life interferes with mastodon.  

I'm burying the lead(s) though.  I'm happy to report that despite widespread flooding in her town, no water breached my daughter's place. 🙌  This is such a huge relief.  Also, my daughter is feeling better, managing to keep bland foods down. (Hope I didn't just jinx it.)  

I'm hoping things have turned a corner. One thing is clear-- it's good I didn't go into nursing, because it is NOT my life's calling.
