i interrupt this #zapathon to say that Dune 2 is not that good (it's mostly depressing) and LOTR is a better trilogy

carry on
 Ouch my childhood!
 🫂
I was incredibly bored. Great cinematography and such. Story is boring AF.
first bad review i've seen here
Lyn Alden said it better than I could

I read the first book when I was a teen. It bored me, was depressing, and didn't make sense. I haven't had any interest in the movies because of that.

I agree that LOTR is great. There were a few issues with the movies, generally where the movies split from the book and ruined characters, but over all it was great. My son asked for the extended version for Christmas, so we got to watch it over his Christmas break from college. It was enjoyable.
I like this take. The books were definitely better
The first three Dune books are the only ones worth reading. I read them and enjoyed them, but, Herbert was in over his depth with the narratives he was aping from.

Agreed, I read at least 2 and he tried but struggled imo
I disagree with you so you are obviously wrong. Good day sir.
good day, hope you recover from dis
