I'm starting to appreciate why people consider Berlin airport a failed project :-)
It's stupid little details: the train to Berlin main station leaves from different platforms, so there can't be signs pointing people to the right platform. It also leaves from the wrong side of the platform so when you come down the elevator you have to run for several minutes ... to miss it. And then walk back up, go up the elevator, walk to a different platform, and try again. Meanwhile the announcer rubs it in: "please make sure to be at the correct part of the platform", rather than just having the train do so.
The sign above the platform doesn't say the next train to the central station will be there. Only the screen will trains lists it. Hidden between a million obscure stations. And yes there it is in the distance. For absolutely no good reason. There isn't a second set of escalators on that side of the platform. The train itself only shows the obscure final destination. https://image.nostr.build/83396761a0cd0b34a019c4cfbaf0448132601a92443b3e3fbbdacb6e97618121.jpg https://image.nostr.build/4d94529ba01d74c6d830e96dcfaa898031434d18dadb4ff29154e7aec21e9a30.jpg
Golm sounds like Middle Earth, so perhaps that's the hint? I've been to Berlin plenty of times and even I felt uneasy until more station names scrolled by. Bitcoin doesn't fix this :-) https://image.nostr.build/e58caa65bf63effa795ca47eee752c3a920964488df806692b81d399fa28f65e.jpg https://image.nostr.build/84a64514c178b9533e16c262043d394a285acf28ddfee4628cd34cc5b4ac6294.jpg
To continue my rant about dysfunctional airports... they have this really handy list of waiting times. But absolutely no map or signs to figure out which one is where. #BER https://image.nostr.build/cd014f4e424c6bcf7b757eb0f921cc9e8fd9eb66a4ea5054726fde15e83a8c3e.jpg
They also still have twelfth century equipment where you have to take your laptop and liquids out of the bag.
