One year ago on Dec 28 I bought the nostr.band domain and decided to focus on Nostr. It's been an amazing journey! I've met incredible people, assembled a small team and we are building tools and products to help Nostr win. Thank you everyone who supported our efforts and used Nostr.Band! We've made lots of updates to our advanced search features recently, and will be making them even better in 2024. Excited to see what's going to be the next page of Nostr!
🫡Great work bro, I use nostr.band a lot. When I searched for a page recently, it would only show for a minute, and then the screen would go blank. This hasn't happened before with older versions of the page.
Thanks! Yeah there temporary were issues with a new backend that renders opengraph tags, should be fine now.
Awesome, I'll try again later. Congratulations on starting your own team. I know you spend a lot of time and money on servers and data processing, and I'm curious about what kind of funding sources you use to support your development. Is it a donation or a VC 🫂
Fantastic and very useful work! Thank you very much 🙏
Your team and you have developed remarkable products, and we genuinely appreciate you keeping them open for everyone, including your APIs. Thank you.
Happy birthday to Nostr.Band! Thank you for your service 💜
I love Nostr.band! The advanced search tool is especially useful for finding old notes.
Thank you for your service. I use it every single day.
Could you build a feature for nostr.band that shows stats graphs for individual users, for example to see how many followers someone has gotten over a period of time? I’d love to see something like that.
I was intending to long ago, but there are too many other important problems to work on so I probably won't any time soon.
OMG This fits right into my doggie walk think session just now. Wondering how to make use of docs.nostr.wine/api that @Mazin JUST updated WHILE we DMed earlier. ⚡️ His DB stores “first saved” timestamp for profiles and follow lists. If I query “new follow lists” once a day, I can track how they change over time. Using this (along with follow backs and “engagement” from “trusted” users) I may be able to measure if “social onboarding” makes a difference (in retention) and EVEN determine the top advocates (trusted accounts who engage most with new accounts). So yea. I’ll have something like this available shortly at http://nostrmeet.me (All I need is a cross reference for “trusted” users… maybe can query nostr.band for that “which of these pubkeys are trusted?”)
