tons of cheap land in Canada. You gotta just be willing to build from scratch. I have paid more in rent to a landlord in the last 5 years than I spent to acquire 5 acres (and I could have gotten it much cheaper) Pool money with like-minded friends who want to live sovereign lifestyles If ownership is actually something you REALLY want, it is do-able on below median income - just build the skillset to make living anywhere a possibility
