Cool, ty for the recipe, i am going to save it and one day get the motivation to try it
Cheese is really easy, but time consuming. It's a good winter activity. And like everything, homemade is better.
I'm so tempted to do this because I have never had homemade cottage cheese. Do you make cheeses too?
Yeah, cheddar & ricotta, a few times a year because it require a whole day. I'll make other occasionally.
Cool, yeah i just imagine doing the same process with ricotta as one does with cottage cheese. what is the difference in those methods?
Ricotta is actually a byproduct of making other cheeses. It's extracted from the whey.
ohhhhh interesting. ok
I've never done it with the cottage cheese whey since it sits at room temp for so long & I'm a neurotic weirdo... that stuff just goes on the compost. 😅 but if you want to try it, I can snap pix of that recipe too.
noted. i will take any recipes you want to share! Thanks again. I appreciate your time.

LOL that is hilarious. Anyways, thanks for the lesson, I am off to bed. I will keep you posted if I ever make the cottage cheese!
You should... it's easy. Temperature precision is about the most difficult part 😅
