Exactly! I read dozens of publications during my morning browsing. Not the same ones every day, just an article here and there. If I were to sign up for a subscription for each of them for the few articles a month that I read I would be forking over thousands of dollars a year in subscription fees! Maybe even tens of thousands.
Yeah I read so many articles from publications all over, both well known and indie or underground. I used to read like 100 articles a day lol now I read Nostr all day but still lol
I frequently share articles to Nostr that I think my frens would find interesting or amusing. So if they were pay per article over lightning, then I pay a small fee, and maybe then a half dozen others do because I shared it.
