Donald Trump on Saturday said he would "encourage" Russia to attack any NATO member country that didn’t meet its financial obligations to the defense alliance.
"No, I would not protect you," he said. "In fact, I would encourage them [Russia] to do whatever the hell they want.”
The White House has called the remarks "appalling and unhinged."

Well, he is right that a lot of NATO countries don’t allocate 2+% of their GDP to their defense, but they should. And reason is that they assume USA will protect them. Glad that Latvia finally does that, although I think we should do more.
