@0f342e77 I have the stomach for it but doubt if the EU would have us

The #EU's the flipside of the #Brexit issue.

Today, #Starmer embarked on a global statesman-like tour to the Hague, a #Progressive conference in #Canada & a meeting with #Macron in #France which will surely put the noses of the #Tories & #Sunak out of place.

Tackling Brexit, the EU & #Immigration is shaky ground for #Labour. Labour know this, hence why they've avoided being specific about these touchy subjects, but to do it now shows a level of confidence by Starmer.
@0f342e77 everyone knows that they are sitting on the fence on brexit so they don't annoy the hard line brexiteers however anything is better than the current hopeless government - mind you i said what has happened would happen in 2010 and 2015, 2019 etc and people still voted tory #sigh

The one thing #Starmer has acknowledged is to make change, you first need power, otherwise all you are is an ideological opposition talking shop.

This is first & foremost, so #Labour are walking a political tightrope to ensure little gets in the way of that main objective

Just look at the #Tory reaction today when #Starmer visited Europol to have a grown up conversation about Channel crossings!

They claim he's planning to throw UK borders open to all migrants & reverse #Brexit
