Spent a lot of quality time with the food processor today 😁

First I made cashew butter for the first time. It’s pretty good, especially with a drizzle of sunflower honey!

Then I made pesto, some of which became lunch. The basil in it is like a patchwork quilt, including my own garden’s as well as gifts from two friends and a co-volunteer in a food freedom group who had hosted an event at her farm. 
I used extra nuts, including pistachios, and blanched a small amount of the basil. It came out super dark and oily; look at the incredible color on that oil 🤤

Btw what’s a sunflower honey ? 

 Honey from when the bees mostly feed on sunflower. 
As opposed to wildflower honey, orange blossom honey, clover honey, Tupelo honey, etc.  

I think sunflower honey has a buttery flavor. It’s really nice!
