It is not about value or beauty, it is about human intervention in the "generation" of the work of art.
Every retouched photo is an intervention aimed at improving what was theoretically already perfect. 

 It feels less valuable. I barely pay attention to generated images anymore 

 Every art that has a shitty artist is not worth looking at. It is not exclusive to AI. 

 I don’t see human art as shitty. Ever. There’s a degree of interesting and I may say it’s more or less interesting but I’d never call humans shitty artists. It’s all subjective.

 Yeah but my threshold for “you got my attention” is much lower for humans vs. generated. 

 That’s fair. 

 Prompt creation is a valid form of creativity, but AI generated imagery is actually hypothecated from real artists it was trained on and then mushed together. It is not art, at best it is a form of collage, but as there was no labor, love, or intention(as computers cannot impart love or intention) it can’t be “art” 

 Everything is a tool. Nothing beats the creative human mind ✍️🧠🙏 

 I personally don’t “like” a lot of completely AI generated images although I do think they can be useful sometimes. Really though every digital photo is created by algorithms in a computer in some way. You don’t see the raw sensor data from a camera, there are algorithms that are adjusting the image. If you don’t override these yourself then you are still seeing a manipulated image in the way the manufacturer has decided it should look. And if you capture the raw file then you need to manipulate it yourself on a computer which gives you more control and in that case more manipulation could be “better” “art” (depending on your point of view!). 

 I think it’s less valuable than human generated computer assisted art, which I think is less valuable than traditional art made without a computer
