Yep. It's kinda Zen, you fight with the compiler and fight with the compiler , then eventually let go and the compiler starts working with you instead of against you.
I may be a little buzzed myself.
Problem is, my day job is in other languages, so I keep repeating that cycle.

Heh. You have plenty of time. I'm in my 50's and while I've been programming since high school, I'm still learning. It's shifted a little bit from trying to learn the cool new thing because it's cool, to trying to learn the cool new thing because it's cool and so my brain doesn't shrivel up and make it hard to learn.
But anyone in their 30's can get to the point of making money coding unless they're just bad at it, or don't make the effort.
