 Yeah so this is the question. One thing I think about all the time is that the ranks of both sides are filled with young men who have done equal moral work in deciding whether to fight, which is to say, not very much.

At one end of the spectrum, I definitely would if there were no possibility of escape and certainty of death for enough of my family members.

But how far to the other side would I still fight…

 No my conscience does not allow me to kill, also the Region I'm in is hated by the rest of the state and is indipendend from it. But still under occupation by the enemy since the last two world wars, it would mean fighting for the occupiers. 
If it means fighting against the african invaders to preserve european culture then definitly yes

 If under "country" is my family and friends yes. I wil die for them. No question about it. I will fight for their future and freedom. I see that people under "country" mean politicians, that is something else.  

 I'd be taking my arse to a small island somewhere.

 I would defend my home, my neighborhood, and the homes and neighborhoods of my brothers sisters and children.  Anything more is mental illness.  

 Invasion is different the choosing to go to war so It depends! 

 I don't have a country, but if they said "I hate you for your freedom" as a bunch of assholes have tried to convince me of for decades, and they wanted to harm me or my people, I'd exercise those last bits of freedom and defend myself brutally and without hesitation. 
If however, a more realistic and sane scenario played out, like them saying "This is what your government did to us!" I'd reply 'yea, here's what they've done to me... all my life..." then give them a ham sandwich and directions to DC, and hope for the best.
