Oddbean new post about login | logout I planted the two pear trees today (Keiffer and Bosc). One of them is very sad and possibly dead, so we'll see what it looks like come next spring. I'd like to get them all in the ground within the next two weeks so that they have some time to root down before it gets colder and dormancy starts to set in. Bing and Stella cherry trees go in tomorrow, then I'll start on the many varieties of apple trees.
@394b5c0e I planted some plum trees a couple weeks ago. Shortly after I planted them, one gave up all it's leaves, and I felt terrible, but kept on watering it. It has new leaf sprouts starting, so I'm hopeful for it surviving the winter. The other sprouted new green chutes before giving up all the rest of it's leaves. I accidentally over watered my new nectarine trees that I had planted as well, so hoping those turn around as well.
