@603773e5 Having no recommendations and no one seeing you outside of federated timeline without hashtags can be weird at first, yeah. But it actually encourages you to use relevant hashtags or engage in the federated timeline which can give you a more diverse experience.

I visit the federated timeline almost every time I'm on Mastodon.
