They need to default on their debt and not pay it. Kind of like an individual would do for taxes, but as a whole country. This is impossible if the primary currency being used is the same as the currency the debt is owed in.

Converting to a bitcoin standard is just the beginning. After comes revolution by refusing to pay their US slave masters and refusing to pay the local fiat overlords.

Once the people are free from the local and international debt burdens they will be able to sell their goods and services at fair global value without taxation (most likely illegally through open protocols like nostr).

This is the long and difficult path to freedom, but the people will prevail.
interesting. it seems like only their income tax is waived and not business tax though there has been zero tax for manufacturers for several years to lure them in recent times. Their other challenge is also local corrupt gov't which made me wonder if libertarianism ethos might be their saving grace.
The local government could easily go zero taxes on everything and just collect through inflation. So as long as the people hold any form of fiat they cannot escape taxes, and cannot default.

Historically countries that escape international oppression face local oppression (trading one fiat for another like Nigeria)

Bitcoin will allow countries to escape both at the same time. Response to this will be to sanction or block that country from international trade and close off all tradition channels like twitter, swift, etc.

Nostr and other censorship resistance protocols will be the method to organize trade when this happens.

However the people must rise up and do this together (libertarianism). who knows when and what the catalyst will be, but It will happen somewhere, and many other countries will follow.

The stage is being set at this very moment.
Very true. Countries with small populations, have no sovereign currency, and use the dollar will be the first to adopt Bitcoin.
I think that describes El Salvador
