many American Christians rely on the State to enforce their morality through the threat of violence because they lost the hearts and minds of the culture sitting passively in their pews, becoming more like the culture than the Kingdom.  

 It's mostly boomers.
The rest are lost morons that can't handle honesty and self reflection. 

 they are not seen that way by the one who gave his life to save them 

 He wasn't part of the state that the current version of the church is hiding behind. 

 that was part of my original idea.
but the summary condemnation is not part of him. 

 So passive aggressively state failings but make sure no one is called for it.
