I recently gave my one and only television to a friend who uses it more than I ever will. I am yet again tv-less. Just the way Iike it.

The last 3 TVs I owned were hand me downs. 2 eventually broke and this last one I gave away.

I don’t need a TV.
I don't have any facts to back this up, but I suspect you may have added a few years of life to your timeline in giving away your last TV.

Good stuff!
😄 I want to believe that too, Shash. TV kills a braincell or two every minute, IMO. I don’t have facts to back it up either.
My TV became my pc Screen, or the second screen of the laptop. Some Netflix movies or sport events, but it's always on streaming, not paid service of course.
I thought about that. Using it as a monitor instead but it’s quite big. 👀
mine is a 42' and I connected it with a long HDMI cable, since it's more than 3m from where I watch it, is fine. I use wireless mouse and keyboard of course 😁
The ways of the cablecutter. 😄
Oh my.. was waiting for some weeks to use this pic as meme in a way, now you gave me to right opportunity: here you are the cublecutter fighting for freedom..

 Hahahaha
 No-TV gang unite
 🤝 🙌🏻
Next you gotta get on my #nomicrowave level
That I do have but also don’t use much. Idk if I can let go of a kitchen appliance just yet. 😄
The conventional TV is in disuse, it remains as a monitor or big screen for broadcasting..
True. Though many would sit in front of it for hours for entertainment. That’s the usage that isn’t for me.
I'm only using it to cast Youtube on it.
I haven't watched regular TV programs for years and it hurts me I can not escape paying bills for national TV/radio service.
It's fucking mandatory to pay it and soon they will increase the prices.

The only way to escape the bill is to became homeless 😔

Rn, I'm paying 13€ a month for nothing. That's like 289,200 sats per year. MFers

Yea, we do too. Something like CHF29 per month. I try not to think about it.
I have a tv that i used it only for a while as a monitor to display a personal dashboard with the local weather and some rss feeds using flask in a raspberry pi zero. I might do it again in the future if i find time to implement also calcurse or something similar on the dashboard that can be synchronised with caldav.
I never had a microwave and i never will. I use something like this

It's a common practice now to use it as a monitor instead but what is that gadget? A roaster?
Yes and itbuses air and heating and it has a timer. So if you want to warm up something it is very handy. Microwaves are not healthy...
I just watch the news, mostly for the sleazy politics
Haha. The thing about sleazy politics these days is you get a taste of it without really trying.
