#asknostr (doing that first so I don’t forget LOL)

For context we #homeschool

Our son is 12 going on 21 🤪 (almost 13 in fiat years)

We have been struggling to find what lights his spark educationally.

(I sort of knew the following but forgot 🤦‍♂️)

He shared with me today that he LOVES science, especially the solar system and space.

We do own a telescope and he enjoys doing that, but we haven’t done it recently.

My question is: has anyone come across a science focused curriculum or website that connects science to the other subjects.

I’d like to not reinvent the wheel!

I glanced at Khan Academy and they have a #science section but I’m hoping for something for project based as he is a kinestetic learner.

Tagging a few people whom I know homeschool…

What about just doing a separate science focused micro-curriculum that has 1 or 2 different projects like Lego education or just get some kids experiment books and do some of the projects in them? https://image.nostr.build/39d881f7840666491a0bb89876c97452d59b7ab744e184d6faf1f24fc1a41b04.jpg
Oh I love this. We used to do Mystery Science when the big kids were younger. Also Youtube will have lots of different science experiments that are hands on. Plus cooking and baking for every day practical unschooling style science. 😍

I'm not super science myself so we just talk about whatever is going on around us (weather, colours in the sky, tides, animals, planes - paper and real ones etc) and kids choose the rabbit holes they want to dive into 😆
