 It's not the farmers fault really, they were lied to and trapped in something none of them wanted.

Now, they are being punished for it rather than the companies, govts and scientists academics etc that lied and incentivized these chemicals etc.

It's not fair and they are rightly pissed off, they've been fully betrayed.

Most if not all farmers would love to transition to something much more ecological.  That takes time, money and a real plan.  They aren't getting that, they are just getting scapegoated for all kinds of things that didn't originate with them. They didn't invent these chemical pesticides etc.

I'm with them. I'm also very much for an intelligent transition to regenerate agriculture. 
 Better, it's everyone's fault and we're all responsible for how we treated nature and our food. Governments, companies, consumers, farmers. And it's not really a fault, the billions of humans needed to be fed, the society needed food fuel to evolve.
Now let's see what we can do to fix it :).
