Cool, I tried that once. Use Brave search now
It seemed cool but never useful. I had to go back to DDG because they are TOR friendly
Duck duck go isn't private, it's owned by Microsoft basically.
None of them are really private and censor shit. All are pozzed.
That's why an aggregator like Searx is best imo.
When it works
I host it, but I haven't used it much. How is it?
I prefer it. It sucked when I was running a public instance because I was always getting DDoSed and rate limited So it was, for all intents and purposes, kind of useless. But hosting a private instance, I haven't really had an issue with rate limiting and it's the only search engine I use now. I like to have that extra layer of privacy. And it's kind of neat to see the aggregated results of multiple different search engines.
I didn't know it did that. I should try it again.
