 Fair enough:)

I doubt flare is on anyone's radar lol
Not yet. I'll be the reason why Zach starts getting hit with takedown requests eventually. Will it be an artist or music label? Or will it be Tucker Carson's lawyers? Who knows. Should start taking bets on this. 🤣
Do you know how to see your balance on flare? I uploaded one video but have no idea how many gbs I have left
No there's no way to know yet. He needs to add a storage meter to the account settings section. For now you just keep uploading until you hit your limit, and it will prompt you to buy more storage at that point. I gotta be pretty close. A few of my largest videos are just linked from Nostr build though.
I get the impression flare is a prototype anyway, not sure what the plan is for it, but don't see it growing beyond a fraction of most users lol

But you never know maybe there's some automated crawlers or whatever looking for stuff to take down
I did actually tag him in a previous post about his thoughts on this, but got no reply.
We talked about it the other day.

 Lol I see.

I also noticed there's no way of taking down my own videos (which I've just linked from YouTube, not uploaded) to even help him lol.

I think the potential issue even with embeds would be about being able to tip the person adding, rather than the actual creator of the content (?)

(Tbh I'd still really like to see a massive funded project like odysee, but somewhat unlikely and a huge task.)

Have you checked out peertube?
Yes can't delete the Nostr event of course but there needs to be a way to delete the hosted media file.

Receiving payment for media that is not yours is probably going to be problematic eventually when it gets noticed.

There's a couple full concerts that I posted where I put a link to the artist's merch site in the description. That seems fair to me.
Yeah I thought, yeah you can't delete event, but you could take it off of flare(?)

Maybe this is solvable with using relays that accept deletions, like that 'nos' client feature? 🤔
