And yet in their hands have been placed the lives of all Americans…and they don’t care. They can’t give a single fuck. Because at this point, they can’t be affected by anything going on among the peasants. Fascism will give them more power. Capitalism allows them to be upper class. Power or wealth. They don’t about the rest of humanity. 
They won’t go quietly or easily, but go they must. They are the bookworms in the library, consuming and not contributing.
