I honestly hope so too… because I wasn’t my best self at one point, either. But, the way these industries pimp the next trendy thing out. Doubt it. Decentralization is “trendy” rn… the reason for that is bc everyone promoting it is having their first round of bringing it to scale. Everyone quietly working is recognizing all the things not being said. Zuck knows the cent v decent game as good as the rest of us… we’ve been at this war for years.
And for the record I am on the side of decentralization I just want everyone to literally have feeedom for real

Not a fan of Meta generally, but they’ve been leading in open-source AI. And yes, I understand how counterintuitive that seems - perhaps Zuck is chasing his 'redemption arc'. They released LLaMA over a year ago, which is their open-source family of large language models - considered to be best-in-class for research, efficiency, and accessibility, compared to other open-source models like GPT-3 and even proprietary models like GPT-4 [which was the leading model up until the more recent 4o + o1].
