Just saw an M2 Pro laptop for $1200 at Costco. I was thinking about upgrading, but then I realized, if I just wait, it'll be cheaper in BTC by a factor of 2 or more by the end of the year.

Yep. been postponing a much needed computer upgrade for the same reasons.
Same for me! I was thinking of buying a new phone, but my old phone still works. And, if I stack them sats instead, it will be way cheaper later.
Save the money for now and invest it into the productive economy.
