A lawsuit has been filed against Tesla, Elon Musk, and Warner Bros. Discovery by Alcon Entertainment, a production company behind Blade Runner 2049. The complaint alleges that an AI-generated image was used to promote the We, Robot event without permission, violating copyright laws. According to Alcon, they were initially approached by Tesla and WBD for permission to use imagery from the film, but refused due to concerns about Elon Musk's behavior. Despite this, Tesla allegedly created a fake screen still using an AI generator and displayed it during the event.
