*watching series about the King of Sweden* if there is one problem a monarch never has, it's knowing what is his purpose in life. that is, in fact, the one thing he knows for sure.

there's no liberty in that, but it sure as hell must be nice to be so sure about it. to never ask "what am i doing with my life?" because that would be a stupid question. 

 @c721880c under feudalism, that was everyone's lot in life. You were born a peasant, you died a peasant. Your dad was in a guild, you join that guild. Monarchy is the last vestige of that.
