The sophon was a PoC to demonstrate the problem with a global unique namespace where block inclusion wins. 

On tx volume:
A token with a 20M supply and a 1000 per mint limit will take 40,000 transactions to mint out. Every token transfer takes 3 onchain transactions. Thats never going to be usable for anything but meme coin speculation. I don’t have a problem with people trying to do colored coin schemes on bitcoin, but brc20 is just REALLY inefficient.
