Tell me more 🙂
Well, I just picked up a start9 unit and have everything synced (bitcoin core, electrum server, etc) and I’d like to implement the nostr rs relay to perhaps create a couple of my own relays. Trying to do it now but having a bit of difficulty understanding it. I think many people experience the same thing (I don’t have developer experience). Mind assisting?
You should reach out to @cloud fodder and use an instance of relay.tools
Awesome will do. Also, any progress in the btcpay setup that we last spoke about regarding photo prints and etc?
Focusing on curating some imagery first I’ll probably have a gallery ready a couple weeks, unfortunately got a lot of stuff on my plate at the moment from fiat mines and household chores.
Would love to help if you’d like with the curation side of things
Yah thanks I’ll share the gallery and try and get some opinions on what should be printed. Also curious if I should do editions of X or 1 of 1s . My preference is 1 of 1s but that makes each piece more expensive overall and I think prices a lot of people out, but also makes each piece that much more special and I could do some more affordable images by making them smaller (like 8x8s instead of 40x40s)
Its pretty simple once the service is up and running you can connect either via lan or tor to your relay
Would you mind helping me out with a step by step if you have a moment? I’m not familiar with setting up LAN or tor
Sure where are you at now?
As in what I have completed steps wise? Start9 installed, bitcoin core fully synced and did some other connections with electrum server with sparrow. But other than that, working on btcpay server and nostr relay.
Ok that sounds already pretty good, now with the nostr relay once downloaded from the marketplace you gotta fire it up which means at that point you are able to connect your start 9 relay to your nostr client by using the information provided within properties
Yep, it is downloaded, same with LND and etc. The thing I am confused in how to do is the following info: 1. Ensure your computer or phone is running Tor: https://docs.start9.com/latest/guides/device-guides/ (THIS LINK IS NOT WORKING) 2. In Nostr Properties, copy your Nostr Relay Websocket URL (e.g. ws://<address>.onion), and paste it into your Nostr client relay list. *Note: there is also a Local (e.g. wss://<address>.local) URL is included in Properties. We do not recommend using this interface except to sanity check that your relay working in certain cases. No one will be able to access your .local URL except you and anyone else connected to the same LAN.
