@4a888f94 speaking of notre dame, the last time i was in paris I had to choose between going to shakespeare and company (a venerable bookstore) or go halfway across the seine to the cathedral. My reasoning for my choice was that who knows how long a hundred year old bookstore will be there, and the cathedral has been there since before there was a europe or something.

Oh well. Shakespeare and company is still open for business
