It's sporadic. I have to keep manually re-AUTHING to some relays, like TheForest and Nostr.land.
yes have the same issue, even though i have them on "always", they keep getting de-authed, i assume that this is a nostrudel bug and not something with the relays but not sure

Your NIP05 disrespector thing has become a little confusing now with all the impersonation bots who come up as a red dot. I actually just assumed this was a spam attack lol. Just pointing this out. Maybe you're aware and don't care tho. :)

Well, to be fair, I got my NIP-05 from my relay and @cloud fodder is gonna make that a thing.
I do wonder if nip05 has actually now found a usecase lol. Maybe it would be an extra annoying step for a spam attack, at the very least. You could filter the entire feed to people with working nip05 fields? 🤔 Or maybe that is annoying and pointless lol I don't know:)
I have a use case for them, but it's a secret.
Time, money and energy that goes into NIP-05 is not being spent on Relays. This is true during: - the onboarding of new users - use of an app that is constantly verifying DNS stuff in the background Users need Relays anyway and they literally make most "problems" addendums like NIP-05 pretend to fix complete non-issues.
When I first joined I really struggled to get a nip05, it seemed to be required to be 'found' / 'visible'. I'm not very tech savvy so it was quite annoying. It was even more annoying when I found out I neednt have bothered at all lol
Spending that time on setting up a lightning address would probably have been better spent, so I can zap you 😜 . Although #cashu might make that unnecessary too hehe.
Absolutely. There are a few nip05 options tho. You also don't even need to fill that field. Free the NIP! zaps.lol is one option I believe (it's also good for a free customisation of a lightning address) You can request one from ditto.pub (I'm not saying you should do this btw, I'm just replying in case someone seems this and finds it useful)
that makes some sense to me how would that work server-side ? what kind of query would it send to the relay in that case ? "give me all events of kind 1" sounds like an messy and expensive firehose, well i guess if you have a specially curated relay it might work
Some of us have specially curated relays. Also, they have a "global" tab that isn't global. That's a No.
Nostrudel can kind of do it, but it reverts back to Following feed, every time I page away (I have no follows, so why is it showing me this feed?) and the AUTH has to be renewed over and over.
Primal is dead without follows, except for the Trending feed. That's coming from their own relay.
Voyage was cool for about 5 minutes, then it locked up and refused to update the feed. 🤷🏻♀️ (Like the project, tho.)
Amethyst used to be halfway decent at tuning global, but with the recent move outbox, the granularity of control over global is gone for now.
I'm becoming a fan of outbox on the relay, instead of the client. Client-side is a hot mess.
