#WritersCoffeeClub 9. Have you ever abandoned a writing project that wasn't working? What was wrong?

I ended up abandoning *every* project for the better part of 2 decades. 

I had the idea in my head that I wanted to write a novel, but every time I drowned in my own ambition.

Then I changed my strategy and started writing short stories. Those I could finish. That led to writing a novella, which I also managed to finish.

Now I feel like I might be able to write a novel.
