The notion that crude oil comes from dinosaurs is fiction. 

Oil formed from the remains of marine plants and animals (plankton) that lived millions of years ago, before the dinosaurs. The tiny organisms fell to the bottom of the sea. Bacterial decomposition removed most of the oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur from the matter, leaving behind a sludge of mainly carbon and hydrogen. Heat, and pressure over time turned that sludge into crude oil. #TheMoreYouKnow  
 Appreciate the context. But weren’t there plenty of Dinos x million years ago? I thought they started like 200 million BCE 
 There were dinosaurs SOME millions of years ago, but not MORE millions of years ago when it was just plants and plankton. The stuff that made fossil fuels were around long before the dinosaurs.
