 Been a pgp user since 1998. I have worked in security for most of 30 years. I have collected and encrypted emails with less than 45 people in that time professionally.  Nostr is the right use at the right time

 Sure.  My note was meant to an oversimplification.

The point is most ppl would never have had a reason to care before Nostr.

 Totally agree. I found out about public/private keys and thought the internet was about to level up.  I was just super fringe and wish thinking. Nostr and btc create incentive to care.  Just happy it is happening at all.  Your note couldn't have said it more simply but spot on.
