@a6ff0b2b I vaguely remember this maybe coming up in some of your Photos rants. I have a fresh laptop that needs to pull down full resolution versions of a 500gb iCloud Photo Library. Do you know what state makes it go fastest? Sleeping, awake with photos open, awake with photos closed? Be a shame if they could just put a button that tells it to do everything ASAP. 

 @ba1ab273 I always go with awake with Photos open, but who knows if that’s actually the fastest?
