Could someone ask Warren Buffett to explain why Berkshire Hathaway's share price continues to soar (up by over 100% in past five years) while so many Americans are increasingly in dire financial straits?
Surely, as an owner of so many American businesses, if Berkshire is doing well, then the average American should also be doing well?
That is the logical inference, right?

Berkshire invests in defenses, no?.. Where has most of the funding gone to in the last 10-50years
I haven't figured it out yet. None of the major defense stocks are having "breakout" moments. Some are actually not doing well. Where have the trillions of tax dollars spent over the years gone?
Politician got to get paid too
I'm afraid so.
It's all a hoax! They advertising freedom when its not. To make big corporate bankers richer washed in blood
Mind me asking. Why does your nip-05 have gmail?
Easy. He's close to the right set of people so he enjoys benefits to his company that others don't.
Look at their portfolio. Lots of cash. Only a few relatively inflation resistant stocks...which are all pretty good. T-bills in the U.S. are getting 5.5%. In Mexico (rated just slightly lower than U.S. t-bills) are getting 11%. You can make a lot of money with relatively little risk.
If there is relatively little risk from investing in the stability of the US economy (buying T-bills owning US equities) then why does the everyday man not feel it? That's the point. It's as though it must be at the expense of the ordinary man rather than a mutual gain.
